Tin Pei Ling keeping up with herself with the party abetting

Keep on disqualifying herself. In her own words in AsiaOne today, http://www.asiaone.com/News/Elections/Story/A1Story20110509-277761/2.html

On how she thinks she has grown during the election, Ms Tin said she has become "more mature" in terms of how she "manages things and myself".

You don't use parliament to do this. You come to parliament ready to perform. Parliament is not a school. The right answer ought to be, "in time they will understand the real me" or something like that. Well, to her credit she is authentic here but to me she is not suitable to be an MP.

Actually it isn't all her fault. The party was worse. In SM Goh's own words,

Mr Goh told the media yesterday that many Singaporeans have the impression that Ms Tin wanted to be an MP but, in fact, it was the PAP who "wanted her".

The art of political apology would be a key skill the party needs to acquire, and our job is to cut through and see which apologies are bull. And very sad, we are becoming more and more like other nations and becoming less and less special. Badly need to reinvent ourselves regardless if the party is capable of transforming itself. National interests ahead of party interests.

  1. does that mean she has no interest to serve the people ?( If we accept SM Goh reasons that it was the PAP who wanted her).
