iMourn and how to run Apple now

iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad and now iMourn on the front page of this morning news. Just appropriate to get this off one of our iPad in honor of the guy who made this possible.

I hope Apple do not try to remember and apply Steve Job's legacy as Disney had done with Walt Disney after he had passed away. They had often asked themselves what Walt would have done...they even kept his office in its original condition in honor of the man. This is not how you go about continuing the legacy of a great man.

Keep and use whatever is usable that Jobs had left behind. Discard most of it. And what are some of these. In my view, there are only two.

1. Be obsessive about doing your homework, which often you must pay attention to the details.

2. Be courageous.

These two reinforce each other. All men and women of genius who have left their mark in history have them, but each had done so in their own inimitable way develop through experiencing the furnace. Successors to these legacies must also personalize it for themselves. This is how Tim Cook ought to run Apple without Steve Jobs.
