Our New Color Printer: Epson Office 900WD

Out with our old color laser we bought in Dubai (Samsung CLP 315) which you will get ripped off when you replace the toners and in with our new Epson ME 900WD.

Bought this today at PC Show. Paid $238 for it but in turn get back $30 worth of groceries vouchers tenable at Fairprice.

The family is excited about printing it via ethernet and Wifi. May be our existing trusty and cost effecive Brother DCP 7040 will end up with me as the only user. We shall see.

Here is a video of the printer I found on YouTube.

  2. Quite good but setting up for wifi printing can be troublesome as the documentation is not very clear. If you use their install CD, it should be OK. Doing it manually was tricky.

  3. Oh, I am getting it from best denki.. so I think they will settle everything for me right? I was deciding btw this and Canon printers. Why didn't u get Canon?

  4. Many of the Canon models I looked at were using tri-color inks. Epson is more generous with ink $$$. I simply visit Challenger and look at the ink prices...

If you are running Windows XP or Win 7 and use only one wifi hub, the set up using the CD should not be too difficult.

  10. Just to add on, for my laser printer, I am buying and using third party toners. They are much cheaper than the original toners from HP.

  14. Our printer is little used, but stopped totally now. It shows x Error / Printer Error. Turn power off and then on again. For details, see your documentation. That's it. Turning off and on does not help anything, error is coming back.
