GCT bad mistake: The Singapore Child

A former PM do not have the freedom an ordinary citizen like me has. I can laugh and brush off Agung WhyUdonno insulting us as children but not GCT. I am glad it made our people angry especially if we haven't figure out a better response. I don't get angry because I have other ideas, which I hope are better than just getting upset. I am observing from afar and learning.

With that aloof and uncooperative attitude the Indonesian side is taking we must not show we are weak. We must not allow people to say jump, we respond with how high.

So if GCT must say those words, a better version would be, "The Singapore Child is being suffocated, How can he not be angry?" Scream is too childish but an upset or angry child looks like a kid but a very mature one, actually an adult underneath that appearance.

Whenever we refer to ourselves as a Little Red Dot, we do so as a Dot that is effectively much larger and truly punching above our weight. Big Indonesia is an embarrassment to the G20 which cannot even enforce its own laws and hence become a bad neighbor. And like a petulant kid, refused to accept responsibility. Indeed he is rightly named WhyUdonno. Because he has no wisdom at all and naturally becomes an embarrassment to Indonesia.

I would love to see the western press size him and Indonesia up. He just made his foreign minister colleague work much harder.

  1. Your praise of GCT comes as a surprise. Indeed he does not have the freedom to say what he likes as we do. But trying to be sarcastic is not a freedom GCT has. It only aggravates the situation. The truth is that we kid ourselves when we believe that we can punch above our weight. The westerners encourage us to think that because we have lots of cash to sink into their sinking banks, etc. and we lap it up. Thus Forbes and Time Magazine portray Ho Ching as one of the most powerful women in the world. How so? because she has billions to "invest" in their sick economies.Stop kidding ourselves. The inability to stop the Indonesians from choking us to death proves the point.
