What am I doing blogging early in the morning using a mobile phone in a small hotel room?
The South Koreans, Japanese and especially the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Kiwis would be friends with the Americans through a lot. They are cousins and other relatives. The Chinese on the othet hand you have to think in friendly and enemy scenarios. Singapore's work and prayer is that we do not see a world lurching into those bad scenarios.
Enjoy and benefit from your friendly enemies till eternity hopefully sooner they become true friends. Meanwhile may we always have common interests to bind us. The wise go beyond living off shared interests.
