Too poor to fit into Raffles Institution etc.,

Easy for RI to end up this way - a school for the well to do, but very hard to reverse it and get it back to its roots. Good luck! For a long time the damned Ng Eng Hen said such problems do not exist in our school until his boss contradicted him.

This problem is many times harder to deal with than bullying. Teachers and students share the same space but inhabit different worlds. There is nothing you can do to stop such habits to compare and envy.

And this problem is spreading to the other independent and top schools too.

Before getting to the top secondary schools many of the pupils in the GEP program come from high income families as well. RI, RGS etc., cannot fix this problem. In fact, it is hopeless and they must have enough sense to know. They just want to show that they are doing something but wouldn't admit that it is futile.

This government created this problem, they must be responsible for fixing this or over time they can go sit in opposition.

Update: June 7 9:25am

Another of those fruitless discussion which some may oddly find therapeutic to participate.
